(WGR 550) -- Sportstalk Saturday decided it would be a terrific idea to see exactly how bad the Bills' All-2000s team would look, and there certainly were some fond moments of discussion during the two-hour show. The team was compiled via conversation with the understanding that we could add players that could make enough of an added impact during the 2009 season to make the club.
Some of the guys, like a linebacker and defensive end, were good enough to make the squad off of a stellar 2000 season. Others, like our center and coach, were the best of a non-descript bunch.
Let's take a look at the All-Bills team, 2000-09:
QB: Drew Bledsoe
RB: Travis Henry
TE: Jay Riemersma
WR: Eric Moulds, Lee Evans, Josh Reed
LT: Jason Peters
LG: Ruben Brown
C: Trey Teague
RG: Brad Butler
RT: Jonas Jennings
DE: Aaron Schobel, Marcellus Wiley
DT: Pat Williams, Sam Adams
LB: London Fletcher, Takeo Spikes, Sam Cowart
CB: Antoine Winfield, Nate Clements
S: Lawyer Milloy, Donte Whitner
K: Rian Lindell
P: Brian Moorman
Coach: Dick Jauron
**Trent Edwards, Marshawn Lynch, Terrell Owens and Marcus Stroud were labelled "transition players," or guys who could make the squad with a superlative 2009. We also think there's a chance that all 22 starters should be the all-decade team if the Bills make the playoffs.
