The sad thing is, right now, there's no alternative for the Bills offense. Just cook up another batch of garbage soup and watch your fans mow it down.
I was too late to the party with the "ditch J.P. Losman" campaign, and I've been up front about admitting that. I feel like it's foolish to start some sort of "Get rid of Trent Edwards" campaign, because what are we going to learn from that? The Bills likely do not have a better option than Edwards on the sidelines, so you have to hope for the best for the rest of 2009.
That said, he was terrible... as in worse than his line, which is saying something. He played without guts on too many occasions for my liking, like on the 3rd and 6, down 31-10 in the fourth quarter, when he dumped the ball off to triple-covered Fred Jackson. You're going to punt anyway, man, throw it up.
-- This morning, my soccer team had a road match that we lost, 7-1. On the seventh goal, some British kid ripped his shirt off, headed for the corner flag, took it to the ground and simulated having relations with it. The Bills game was almost as embarrassing... Almost.
-- I think we've seen the end of the road for Dick Jauron. This was a game that everyone figured was a win if your team is any good. I don't know what else to say except that I wish Jauron luck with the rest of his career. He's a really nice guy.
-- Terrell Owens may not be 7'4", and he did have to leap for -- I think -- four of the seven balls thrown his way, but I would have loved to see him catch the last of Sunday's drops.
-- The Bills sadly needed to pass to set up the run, and since they couldn't, that little stutter-step delayed hand-off was chewed up and spit out for the second consecutive week. Get it out of the playbook until a defense has a reason to respect the pass.
-- You've got a banged-up secondary, and the Bills pass rush stepped up to the tune of six sacks. Well-done.
-- The run defense was again a mess in the second half, and I would like Paul Posluszny to return soon.
-- Somebody call Kirk Chambers a doctor, because he was torn apart by Cameron Wake. Three sacks. Yikes.
-- The interception returned for a touchdown was awful-squared. I'm not sure we'd catch the ball, but any of us covering that tunnel-vision toss would've read it right. Yikes.
-- So, since John Lynch wasn't around to tell you that Terrell Owens didn't get to the ball, were you able to notice that Trent's second interception was the guy who threw the ball's fault?
-- The Jason Taylor sack was the coup de grace for me as to whether the loss was more the line or the quarterback. Edwards was watching Owens run an open slant route and just patted the ball.
-- One play later, I stand corrected. They both stunk today.
-- Thinking about it a little more, the line is missing two starters.
-- Call me crazy -- and you will -- but I don't think the no-huddle is a big deal. They still use as much of the clock as a huddle does, and it somewhat limits defensive substitutions.
Stat line I enjoyed:
-- Marshawn Lynch, five catches, 43 yards.
The guy is an off-the-field dirt parade, but every time I watch him play, I'm reminded of how much I love him as a football player. He's so explosive, and I love the Jackson/Lynch combo, even if Lynch had trouble on hand-offs. Stat line I didn't enjoy:
-- Trent Edwards, 14-of-26, 192 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT, six sacks
Here's the thing; Edwards was facing the same scenario Chad Henne was, only Henne was making his first career start. Now I like the former Wolverine as much as anyone, but which guy looked more like a rookie on Sunday? Abhorrent performance from the big men up front and their teammate who receives the snaps.
Game ball:
-- The defensive line
Two weeks running. When we do our Immediate Reactions MVP tournament in a few weeks, it looks likely it'll be Fred Jackson and Terrence McGee against a bunch of d-linemen. Yeesh.
Lastly...
My prediction last week was that the Bills would beat Miami 16-13. Sadly, if the Bills would've held Miami to those 13 points, they still would've lost.
Next week: The Cleveland Browns are in town. They've allowed 118 points. ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN (The caps mean a lot. I hate when journalists use caps for emphasis. Let your writing do the work).
I'm not calling for his head now, but if Edwards can't exploit the Browns at the Ralph, I'll be wondering if Tony Romo or Derek Anderson is available in trade. Remember when I typed this?
Let's type about it: nick@wgr550.com
I truly wish I could be more articulate than that...but what else sums it up better than "STINK"?? What redeeming qualities do they have? Coaching = F; Quarterback = F-; O-Line = they get an extension for being young and inexperience. It's just embarrassing to be a fan of this team. I've never been a fan of T.O. -- in fact I've despised him at times...but I really feel sorry for this guy. His head must be spinning right now.
10/04/2009 7:55PM
Lynch as Stat Line You Enjoyed?
How about 8 carries, 4 yards...forgot about that stat line, I guess...
10/04/2009 7:58PM
No More
I'm done with this team. Ralph, just move the team to Toronto so I can truly say I'm done. Please, for all of those who spent their money on season tickets call Ralph and demand a refund. Please.....oh what the hell Bills fans are always fooled and will never learn. There always next year. No more, I have spent my last minute on this team until a real football guy is hired by this organization. Signing off until then.
10/04/2009 7:58PM
Coaching isn't all to blame
I'm no fan of Jaurons and I hope he's gone real soon, but it's not all his fault. He is just a scapegoat. This is a league dominated by quarterbacks. If you don't have a good QB (which the Bills don't), you're not going to win many games. Edwardshas had games where you think that he is the future, but then he follows those games up with ones where he looks completely incompetent. It's his third year. The consistency has got to be there.
10/04/2009 7:58PM
they stink
marshawn 8 carries 4 yards, made a huge impact and nice game trent
10/04/2009 7:58PM
C'OME ON MAN
Toronto no longer wants this useless team. I see 1-15 people. Thank God we have the Sabres!
10/04/2009 8:02PM
jauron
PLEASE RALPH fire Dick Jauron and bring in Mike Shannahan as coach!!!!!!
10/04/2009 8:05PM
they suckkkk
plain and simple. our quaterback sucks. now we can watch the sabers miss the playoffs to.
10/04/2009 8:09PM
PLEEAAAASSSSEEE
Let Mr. Jauron move on and bring in some new leadership!!!!!!!!!
10/04/2009 8:10PM
whos next
do we draft a guy with the 3rd overall pick and have to wait again from him to come around whos a free agent this offseason
10/04/2009 8:13PM
LEARN FROM THE PAST
Dick Jauron was fired as coach of the Chicago Bears on Monday after his fourth losing season in five years. The Bears closed a 7-9 season with a 31-3 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Jauron, who had a year left on his contract, leaves Chicago with a 35-46 record, including 0-1 in the playoffs.
10/04/2009 8:13PM
Clean House
Get rid of Jauron. Bring in a real NFL coach who players want to play for. This will offset the Buffalo stigma which drives good talent away. Then go out and get a good, no...Great QB via a draft or a trade. Keep developing the receiving core, TO will be gone, but we're still deep at the position. Get some veteran O line players whose skeletons aren't made out of paper mache. Oh, and pre-empt all this by getting rid of our GM too and hiring someone who knows what the hell an NFL franchise looks like.
10/04/2009 8:13PM
it has to be get better
http://www.firedicknow.com/
10/04/2009 8:14PM
UMMMMMM....
Dick Jauron was fired as coach of the Chicago Bears on Monday after his fourth losing season in five years. The Bears closed a 7-9 season with a 31-3 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. 10/04/2009 8:14PM
Duped Again?
So, have we Bills fans been duped again? I agree - I think we're looking at a horrible 1 - 15 season.
10/04/2009 8:16PM
HELP ALL BILLS FANS
Help all of us Bills fans Ralph, and bring professional football back to Buffalo! We are so far below other teams when it comes to standards for what is acceptable it is a joke. FIRE THE COACH, PONY UP SOME CASH FOR REAL FREE AGENTS LIKE THE OTHER 31 TEAMS, AND FIRE THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF AND GET SOME PEOPLE IN HERE WHO KNOW WTF FOOTBALL TALENT LOOKS LIKE!!!
10/04/2009 8:20PM
I give up
I have been with the BILLS in the 90s. today I do not have any sunday to look forward to. HELP
10/04/2009 8:20PM
Blackout Please???
This team is the worst its been in 10-12 years. I have always been dialed in for the Bills games, but I find it more productive to clean the house or take out the garbage. Jauron sucks- coaches without emotion, Edwards- a cheap no name quaterback with little talent, and an owner who wont spent the money to bring in quality personnel. I am done watching this new offense called "third and out" I vow to not waste any more time or money on this team- Ralph's smoke and mirrors are now the joke of the league.
10/04/2009 8:21PM
O-LINE
Dick jauron chose this offensive line we watched today instead of getting a veteran who can play the game.. It really tells you he can't evauate talent or coach in the nfl.. DICK MUST GO TODAY !!!!!!
10/04/2009 8:28PM
hi my name is DICK
Hi I'm Dick Jauron and I'm going to get rid of my $80 million dollar O-LINE , and place a bunch of rookies as starters. Hi my name is Dick.
10/04/2009 8:30PM
Duck Ball
One of Lee Evans first comments about Edwards is that he throws a "Duck Ball"! Going w the flow of things Lee laid-off those types off comments. Now 2 years later the Duck Ball continues to squawk and Dick J still is trying to figure out what's wrong w our team. The DUCK & Dick remain in the NFL as two of the worse fools to play and coach the game. WAKE UP WILSON BECAUSE HE'S SLEEPING!
10/04/2009 8:30PM
VIIIICCCCCCCKKKKKK!
The Bills should have signed Mike Vick. He's better than Trent Edwards, even while rusty. All my friends (out of town) laugh at me for being a Bills fan. This laughing has been going on for 10 years. Get a QB with some heart. I wish Edwards had the cockiness and guts of Cutler.
10/04/2009 8:38PM
Terrible
Awful, terrible, embarrassing not much more to say.
10/04/2009 8:40PM
Edwards is not the answer
I watch this guy every week hoping that he will get better, hoping that he will become a quality NFL quarter back...It ain't going to happen folks...this kid wouldn't even be able to make the starting lineup in the CFL...that's the truth...He has no heart, and absolutely no idea how to read a defense...Fire all the coaches, if they can't see that this kid is a 3rd string quarter back then Buffalo has no business been in the NFL...
10/04/2009 8:40PM
Looking to the future
I'll continue to watch the games this year, but solely to look for hope for the future, and for players that the new regime shouldn't get rid of(it'll be a much lower number than the ones they should get rid of)when one eventually takes over
10/04/2009 8:42PM
You want change?
Then make it happen. STOP GOING TO THE GAMES. As long as you keep paying the bills for this pitiful failure, you'll keep getting jauron and edwards masterpieces. A couple of games with an empty stadium and jauron will be gone. Then we'll at least have some hope for improvement.
10/04/2009 8:46PM
Ralph is the problem
When will people realize it's his fault. Larry Felser use to regularly ripped him till Polian fell in Wilsons lap. The guy would rather see his name on the stadium than take at least $2,000,000 a year for naming rights. He could use that money and hireanyone of the many Super bowl winning coaches that are out there: Shanahan, Cowher, Billick OR Dungy.
10/04/2009 8:58PM
DRAFT PICK
Maybe we can get a top 5 draft pick and screw that up too.....errr..Mike Williams
10/04/2009 9:02PM
Coaching change
At this point, I don't think bringing back Lou Saban would be any worse (and yes, I know he's dead!)
10/04/2009 9:05PM
Jets
I can't do this anymore - it's not even fun to predict how badly we'll play week to week. I want to feel good about football on sunday again. I've been moonlighting another new york team since day 1 of this season, anticipating exactly what we see on the field right now - man that Sanchez looks fun to watch. Sorry team, I'm going to go out tomorrow and buy me a JETS hat.
10/04/2009 9:07PM
awful
That's it - time to follow the JETS
10/04/2009 9:12PM
COACH NEEDS TO GO NOW
I am done watching and wasting my money on this team when will we see another playoff team
10/04/2009 9:19PM
Honestly?
People would miss the Bills if they were to move to Toronto?
10/04/2009 9:20PM
I hate the bills
Sometimes i feel that i am more passionat about this team than the people running the organization. until this changes i am not buying, watching, or following anything that has to do with the bills. Every damn year its the same thing. no heart, content with throwing it to the running backs, content with 7-9. Go Saints
10/04/2009 9:22PM
Buffalo....a dead city in every way!
Buffalo sports fans can continue to debate how good their team is but one fact speaks for itself......no championships for the Bills or Sabres....EVER. I think fans should stop supporting these horrible franchises and face reality that a city like Buffalo cannot keep a pro sports team around for much longer. The city of Buffalo and WNY is a dead area and it is inevitable that your 2 pro teams will leave....just like most employers and educated people have over the past 35 years.
10/04/2009 9:22PM
7-9
I was just trying to deal with the fact that the Bills would be at best 7-9 again... now it looks like the fans will be lucky with a 2 to 3 total games won scenario!!
10/04/2009 9:29PM
An All America City
Is it just me that finds it an absolute joke when you drive through Hamburg on I-90 and see that silly sign "Buffalo, An All America city"??? Do people understand that Money magazine ranks 10 cities a year for this title? The magazine has been doing this for over 25 years. So at this point there are 250 All America cities. And Buffalo was ranked this back in the mid 1990's. The only other city with such an inferiority complex as Buffalo with a sign like that is Albany, NY. God, I'm glad I moved out of Buffalo when I was young. What a god forsaken place to live. Maybe Buffalo should tell the truth and put up signs saying "Buffalo, the highest cancers rates in the US" or "Buffalo, the worst city to live economically besides Detroit" or "Buffalo, land of the highest taxes in the US".
10/04/2009 9:30PM
done like donkey kong
we buy into it every year...the bills are gonna be good this year...blah blah blah...been a fan for 25 years...this has to be close to most embarrassing loss ive seen. at least back in the day joe fergeson had some guts..im done..im pulling for the friggin saints....
10/04/2009 9:32PM
buffalo fans
all you sports fans in Buffalo should find a new sport...Curling is all you guys have left...you do have alot of ice rinks there...
10/04/2009 9:34PM
Rock Hard Place
Awful. These guys stink.
All of the calls for people to not go to the games will just backfire (though I would still liek to see it). Ralph's got us: if we fill the stadium to watch this crap, why should he bother making it better? But if we don't showup or buy the merchandise, he can justify calling the WNY market dead and not an NFL area and sell the team. It's over.
Go Sabres.
10/04/2009 9:35PM
Giants > Jets
If you are gonna jump ship for a NY team at least pick the a) better team, b) team that isn't a division rival, c) has its own stadium. Sanchez looked like a rookie today, anyway.
10/04/2009 9:36PM
the bills
this team is as bad as it gets.no gm;no coach ;no qb.an owner that obviously could care less spells disaster.for the first time inmy life,i see no hope for this sorry organization
10/04/2009 9:37PM
Vick?
He has yet to complete a pass. Don't kid yourself. Jeff Garcia on the other hand is actually a good QB and was available. I wonder if TO can coexist with him almost a decade later.
10/04/2009 9:38PM
Crisis
Fire Dick now! Exhibit A of why firing a coach mid-season can be a good thing: Mike Singletary and SF 49ers
10/04/2009 9:49PM
FIRE JAURON
its the only thing you can do right now.....change this team up
10/04/2009 9:52PM
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME...
I get all excited to see the Bill's exploit a 0-3 team and what do I get...same crap, different Sunday..Trent, I don't care how friggin smart you are..you look like a scared chicken every time you get the ball...c'mon man, man up and throw the frigginball will you ???...at least our head coach was given the right first name at birth....
10/04/2009 9:54PM
PATHETIC BUNCH OF LOSERS
Millions of dollars on a payroll that gives you THAT on Sunday...Ralph, you're being taken to the cleaners man...our team is a laughing stock...
10/04/2009 9:56PM
How foolish can one owner be?
To remain a constant bottom feeder in the NFL, in a market city, whose fans have clearly demonstrated over decades, could literally walk away from the revenues that could be generated, not to mention credibility as a franchise in the league once again. And lets not forget, the fans who would no longer think that their team owner, is an uncaring fuddy duddy, with more dollars than sense. sense,
10/04/2009 10:07PM
New coach!
Right now, immediately, pronto, yesterday, sooner not later, DO IT NOW!
10/04/2009 10:07PM
Beyond Embarassment
Face the facts, Bills' Fans---if it wasn't for Bill Polian, this franchise would be an utter joke for at least 38 years of its 40 without him...and the sole reason is cheap-assed Ralph. How much can you spend on a dirt nap, man? Hire somebody competent as a coach, and put Brandon back to selling tickets at the stadium!!!
10/04/2009 10:11PM
Who Farted????
these guys really stink..please someone walk into Dicks office and tell him Ralph Wilson says hes fired...
10/04/2009 10:11PM
VOMIT
Figured I go to Indigo Joe's to eat nd watch the game here in South Caolina. I don't know what was worse. The Bills or the obnoxious broad who didn;t shut up at the next table.
10/04/2009 10:17PM
M & T
M&T bank didn't want to sponsor a stadium in Toronto; therefore, it went to Baltimore years ago.
10/04/2009 10:18PM
The Buffalo Argos
Let's face it. These guys are LOSERS, either by choice or by birth. We have a LOSER coach, a LOSER organization and that produces LOSER players. I suggest that we should trade the entire franchise to Toronto and get the Argonauts in return.
10/04/2009 10:24PM
senile owner
do you even think he cares at this point? "middleing" at evry point from admin to players to coaches...like a patient on life support...pull the plug or get in the game.
10/04/2009 10:26PM
joke
what a joke the only way this team is going to get better is when Ralph sells it
10/04/2009 10:26PM
Jauron. hasta la vista baby
worse coach in the league. period
10/04/2009 10:31PM
Ralph...
Wake up, it's time for your pill...
10/04/2009 10:32PM
Where's Jim Kelly?
Jim we need you back!
10/04/2009 10:37PM
Raiders, Bucs, Rams, Lions and Bills
Okay, Buffalo is better than these four, most of the time. We have such a long way to go, there is just nothing to like. Trade Owens for some picks, someone out there could use him and he had done well to keep his cool. Who could blame him for blowinghis stack now.
10/04/2009 10:37PM
Draft Michael Crabtree
only fitting for this franchise
10/04/2009 10:43PM
C'mon, really?
Fire Jauron. Re-build again. Edwards sucks.
10/04/2009 10:44PM
funny..
the UFL is supposed to be like the "minors" of the NFL. yet the bills are the ones who are supplying teams with QB's. i cant wait to see a Cpt. Checkdown vs. Loseman game! woo
10/04/2009 10:51PM
OK then...
I want to fire Dick Jauron as bad as anyone else... BUT WHO ARE WE GOING TO REPLACE HIM WITH MIDSEASON??? Anyone?
10/04/2009 10:56PM
NEW BLOOD
Bring in some new blood like Mike Shanahan and Jeff Garcia. At the rate they are going now they will not win another game this season. I have never seen a coaching staff so bad. I can't beleive they get paid.
10/04/2009 10:59PM
Wasted $ 300 Today
I live in Sunny South Florida and was excited to spend some of my hard earned $$ to buy 35 yard line tickets 6 rows behind the Bills bench to cheer them on. Well, needless to say it was a complete utter waste of money. What a damn embarrasment. I have never seen such an anemic offensive display. Roscoe Parish handed the Team excellent field position all day long and the offensive couldn't do a thing with it. I just cannot understand why for the last 10 years the Bills can never hit a receiver with a pass when they are just coming out of a break. It seems like they are always standing still catching some sort of a dump pass. Sure would be nice if we had a tight end that could catch as well. I don't blame our defense, they are on the field all game long week after week. We need a coach to breed mental toughness(like Singletary)and an offensive coordinator. My Jury is still out on Edwards. He is not very elusive in the pocket and seems very scared in every dropback. Should of stayed home and been productive today. Lesson Learned !!
10/04/2009 11:04PM
You've got to be kiddin me . . PART 2
As i was watching this game on my "Plush" sofa, i could not keep from saying "You've got to be kiddin me"! I think to myself that if Ralph had any balls he would have paid the 7 million and invested in a head coach that truly had the pulse of this team. Youve got to be kiddin me!! I look at the activity behind the bench as the bills were down by 14-0, and that was NO ONE by trent trying to motivate or pick the guys up. Where is the team unity. Youve got to be kiddin me!! Ican't help but vomit to hear Dick say one more time that "i guess i have to do a better job preparing them, i dont' know" Preparing them!!! Yoyu've got to be kiddin me"! I can't help to think that we thought as a city that this football team was actually going to be better this year because of 1 addition to the offense. YUO'VE GOT TO BE KIDDIN ME!!!!!! i'M DONE!!!
10/04/2009 11:13PM
hmmm... this is surprising
A little known fact from http://www.babynames.com/name/TRENT,
Trent means Thirty. Unless that is the number of INT's in a season, you'd better change your name. I think you're more suited to be called Dyson. Why? Because you suck with cyclonic action and you're bagless!
Dick Moron - what is it going to take to light a fire under you? Can we spike your valium a little? Please, turn your pacemaker up to alert and yell, just once, in public so you and the rest of the clowns at 1 Bills Drive can do what you do best - sell hope before you crush it! AAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!
10/04/2009 11:17PM
Coaching change!!!!
Time for Jauron to go........if the owner is smart he will call Cowher, Shanahan, Dungy or Gruden this week, those are the only 4 coaches available to turn this team around in my opinion
10/04/2009 11:29PM
The Sad Thing is...
With as poorly as Edwards has played the coaching staff doesn't have the stones to pull him out of the game. I don't care how terrible Fitzpatrick is, at least he's not Edwards. This season is over ... YES, IT'S OVER. Sit the garbage and start playing the guys who understand the game. Edwards clearly doesn't. Lynch never will. I could go on, but with how little this team cares about winning, why should I care enough to continue this thought? Awful!
10/04/2009 11:42PM
Adam Schefter reports...Jauron to be fired Monday
If only this were true, but it should be, and needs to happen now. This team is a dead football team, they flop in every meaningful game they've played over the last decade.
It would be great to start over with a new QB and new players, but that isn'ta possibility right now, but we can make a change at HC.
Fire Jauron, make ANYBODY interm coach through this year, and then go after somebody who can do what Harbough or Ryan is doing for the Ravens and Jets.
10/04/2009 11:43PM
this is a joke
I can't get mad at anyone but us fans for caring so much it hurts. This was one of the lowest i have felt in a long tme. If changes don't come ,we will go...................
10/05/2009 12:00AM
GAME BALL?????
you give the game ball to the D-line?? did you watch the same game? you give the game ball to the same D-line that gave up 250 yds and 3 tds on the ground? hey maybe you should coach.
10/05/2009 12:12AM
What is it going to take?
Fire Dick Jauron and hire at whatever the cost a qualified NFL head coach. Are you kidding me? This is as bad as it gets. I am so disgusted with this loss, it was just horrible. HORRIBLE!
10/05/2009 12:12AM
Run DICK RUN
The bills always look horrible even when drunk...
10/05/2009 12:23AM
we need MIKE DITKA ! SHANAHAN ! SHOTINHIEMER! someone please!
FIRE DICK JAURON * N O W * ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
10/05/2009 12:26AM
TRENT you can't throw.
FITZPATRICK please please step up Fitz..
10/05/2009 12:26AM
Grow A Pair!
I lost faith in the Bills when they ran Flutie out of town. Say what you will, but at least he had some guts. Too bad the arena league folded. Even that was too good for Edwards. Kinda reminds me of the other sissy QB named Rob Johnson. The Buffalo QB'Shave been talentless for too long. Bye bye Ralph you senile old goat and take Dickie Donothing with ya> OUT!!!!!
10/05/2009 12:31AM
1-15 Ain't All That Bad
I'd prefer 1-15 to another 7-9 season. Neither record will make the playoffs, but 1-15 gets the #1 draft pick.
10/05/2009 12:39AM
And with the 1st overall pick of the 2010 draft...
The Buffalo Bills select...Colt McCoy. That would be nice but I see them screwing that up too.
10/05/2009 12:40AM
Russ Brandon, Ralph Wilson - Email Addresses, now - please
Anyone have an email address to either of these to fellas?
10/05/2009 12:47AM
Yea we suck...deal with it
To all of you out there that claim to be Bills fans...you can go follow the Jets or pray for the team to move to Canada but not me. Sure we suck, and yes the coaching staff needs a change (bad) but if you are a true fan you will stick with them as I will. I was there in the "glory days" and in the rest of the crappy seasons but even though we suck I am still proud to be a Bills fan...stick with them or keep your stupid mouths shut
10/05/2009 12:47AM
And with the first overall pick in the 2010 draft...
The Buffalo Bills select QB From Texas Colt McCoy...but they'll probably screw that up too.
10/05/2009 2:30AM
season tickets
thank god i didn't waste the money
10/05/2009 2:44AM
this is why
i went from a season ticket holder to not spending a dime on this organization since 2002. Move to toronto. i'll just drive to pittsburgh to support a real franchise with a real front office with real players. this team right now couldn't even compete against cfl teams.
10/05/2009 3:00AM
Things We (Fans) Keep Hearing...
Dick Jauron: "I'll have to do a better job of getting them prepared".Trent Edwards: I'll have to look at the tape and correct the mistakes".In conclusion, what are you looking on tape and correcting, because you keep doing the same things. AND DICK - did you get them PREPARED yet?????This is a freakin JOKE. I'm done with this team.
10/05/2009 5:53AM
Idiots
Yes, the Bills are bad. And you all recognize that easily enough, but still manage to come up with such ridiculous solutions.
10/05/2009 6:16AM
mike knuckles
If the Bills losing to the Browns this Sunday will cost Jauron his job allIcan say is '' Go Browns''. In fairness to Jauron he is just a part of the problem. He isn't the one responsible for keeping his job when he should have been fired after last season. For everyone who wants Mike Shannahan to be the Bills next head coach let's be realistic. If you were a coach of Shannahan's stature would you want to coach for Ralph Wilson?
10/05/2009 7:43AM
The Fans Got Hoodwinked
Yeh, that TO signing the weekend before Season Ticket renewal was Russ Brandon laughing all the way to the bank. I have had season tickets for over 20 years and this is the most used feeling i have ever had. This whole organization is using the fans and we fall for it every year. Did you see the empty seats yesterday in LandShark Stadium?
10/05/2009 7:47AM
Don't Worry
The coach of the Bill next year will be....wait for it...wait....Dick Jauron. Just you wait and see.
10/05/2009 7:49AM
Quarterback Killers
I am starting to wonder how this coaching staff have killed the careers of two quarterbacks with rising stars coming out of college. Losman's head was so screwed up when he finally left Buffalo it was pathetic. Most of this was due to him being handedthe job, instead of competing for it. Then Edwards, he used to throw over the middle and long. Remember the 5-1 start last year. Now i hear him talk and all i see and hear is Jauron Jr.
10/05/2009 7:51AM
Same OLD thing
Dick J. ahs no answer! All he ever says ,si we have to get better! Been hearing that for 3 years now! This guy makes 3 million a year? LOL--- Not worth the paper the check is written on. I hve no problem with Trent. Hey Dick how is that change at O corrd working out? Another BONE head move!Im legally seperated form my team here, I had it drawn up this Summer. I saw this coming from miles away! never bought into the T>O thing as well! Season tic holders YOU HAVE BEEN PUNKED!
10/05/2009 8:03AM
FIRE
That Dick!
10/05/2009 8:23AM
Surprised?
I'm not. This has been brewing for the past 2 years. You can't expect anything to get better when you make no significant changes to your areas of need. Ok, they addressed the O line, by trading their best player and using the draft pick on....an O lineman? They used their #1 draft pick on a part time player. No new linebackers? No new Head Coach, no new GM, same result...or worse. So, is anyone really surprised?
10/05/2009 8:33AM
THIS IS NOT FUN ANYMORE
he Bills are just not fun anymore. It costs almost half my weekely paycheck to go see a game . They are moving games to Toronto. Always threats to move. The team is uninspiring . The Fans are aggravated about the same things year after year and nothing changes. When I watch the NFL on TV, I see more commercials than football. I get treated like a crimanl going into Attica prison when I go to the games and enter the stadium. This is really not worth my time anymore. I am having more fun watching High School and College Football. Good Luck .
10/05/2009 8:53AM
Juaron, where did your shades go in Miami?
Sure sign Juaron doesn't have a clue, he wore shades the previous two games, but when he goes to Miami, no shades! Edwards is history, just like previous QB's, I think these guys out of CA or Stanford get free passes to play in the NFL because of the big name colleges they come from. Losman, same thing. This team is not rebuilding anything, light years off being good. I think they brought in TO just to ease the pain or something, haha. Seriously, the Bills are going nowhere.
10/05/2009 9:07AM
I'm done
I'm done with the Rob Johnson experiment.
No wait, I mean I'm done with the Drew Bledsoe experiment.
No wait, I mean I'm done with the JP Losman experiment.
No wait, I mean I'm done with the Trent Edwards experiment. Yeah, that's it.
10/05/2009 9:27AM
Thanks Ralph
You have just given me 48 hours of my life back on Sunday afternoons.
10/05/2009 9:28AM
What Makes It Worse
The Miami Dolphins laughing on the sidelines at the Bills. Great comedy.
10/05/2009 9:40AM
next week
hey next week will be called: Battle for the number 1 pick!
10/05/2009 9:47AM
moved to Albany..
Gonna be a Giants fan after cheering for this franchise for years and spending counless dollard buying into that crap...glad they show the Sabres here
10/05/2009 9:48AM
re: Juaron, where did your shades go in Miami?
Just so you know Losman went to TULANE which as a "big name college" ranks around where UB is. He sucked for sure but he didn't get his "free pass" because he went to a big name school.
10/05/2009 9:58AM
in re: Yea we suck...deal with it
i don't pay for garbage at a restaurant and i'm not going to pay for it with the Bills. If you want to be a moron, please help yourself.
10/05/2009 10:13AM
Bills Rap
I really feel sorry whoever has to write the Bills Rap. How can a person actually pretend to get pumped for this team.
10/05/2009 10:20AM
Laughable
At 24-3...I actually became a Phins phan...I wanted to see them to just crush the Bills!...Very sad...
10/05/2009 10:24AM
Don't want 1st overall pick
First of all, it will require the Rams to win a game somehow. Also, I'd rather have Dan Lefevour, the dude is an absolute gamer. If we have the number 1 pick we won't draft him. We'll draft Bust McCoy or Sam Bustford. And then the cycle shall continue.
10/05/2009 10:31AM
LAUGHABLE
I actually became a Dolphins fan during the game...UNBELIEVABLE!
10/05/2009 10:34AM
hire the 90-95 buffalo bills players
as the coaches at their respected positions
10/05/2009 10:35AM
Send Skeletor Back to Castle Greyskull
Jauron (i.e., Skeletor) must be fired ... like two years ago. Seriously, get a time machine, go back in time, and fire him.
10/05/2009 10:40AM
Van Pelt & Losman
Would have been a better combo. Makes me wonder if Losman had a coach & a Line how much better this team would have been.
10/05/2009 10:45AM
fire dick now!
you have to be kidding me. losing 38-10 against a 0-3 team its embarrassing. let's hope something good comes around.
10/05/2009 11:00AM
What A Movie Skelator Can Make
The Year Of The Living Dead.
10/05/2009 11:01AM
Bring in Jeff Garcia
Pick up Jeff Garcia for the remainder of the year. Let's see someone new at QB and fire Dick today!
10/05/2009 11:37AM
Idea for Bill's Next Coach
Just buy a toy electric football game, turn it on so the metal tabletop field vibrates, and follow what happens to the little toy players. It can't be any worse than Jauron.
10/05/2009 11:44AM
HAMDAN!
PUT HIM IN!
10/05/2009 11:54AM
LOSMAN
BRING BACK JP!!!
JK, but I have lost my confidence in Edwards and this coaching staff. Trade up (or just be there) to get Colt McCoy or Sam Bradford!!!
10/05/2009 11:55AM
fire Dick
No matter how bad his team is playing he still has the same stupid look on his face. ,no emotion His players see that to why should they play harder
10/05/2009 12:11PM
re: Van Pelt & Losman
You can't be serious?? Nobody is that stupid are they?
10/05/2009 12:43PM
Argos
For the guy who wants the Argos in Buffalo, they are 3-10! They will miss the playoffs again. The coach used to be the offensive coordinator for the Titans. You can have them! Keep the Bills too.
10/05/2009 12:45PM
WTF?
2 things:Fire Dick NOW and get someone with some ballsAnd Trent - throw the damn ball downfield. don't secondguess yourself. if you got single coverage on TO or Evans, throw the ball. they are good enough to make the play and win the 1 on 1 battle. at least its better than checking down for a 3 and out.
10/05/2009 12:53PM

re: Juaron, where did your shades go in Miami? Just so you know Losman went to TULANE which as a "big name college" ranks around where UB is. He sucked for sure but he didn't get his "free pass" because he went to a big name school....And what is your point? I heard Losman was from CA and I said in my post these QB's get a free pass that are FROM CA or Stanford, I wasn't sure myself. Either way they still stink. NFL teams seem to fast track anything related to CA, but they are all proving to be nobodies! What, we have been through like 6-7 QB's now, not saying they are all from CA though. Losman now plays for the Las Vegas Locamotives in the UFL, that is where the rest of the Bills should be!
10/05/2009 12:58PM
Time for another Detroit Summit
Mr. Wilson. Seriously. This is embarrassing.

Either way, you did point out that Losman stunk, the main thing!
10/05/2009 1:44PM
Nix the Front Office!
I was hoping Buddy Nix was hired as an insurance policy for when the administration screwed the pouch again! If you look at his draft resume it is loaded with Probowlers.
10/05/2009 1:45PM
LOL
The Bills? They just plain suck too much and too dumb and underseving of serious and intelligent discourse, except to say I found the comment from one posters very funny. "Ralph wake up. It's time to take your pill." LOL. Feel very sorry for Bills fans for having suffered indignity after indignity heaped upon them becase of an incompetent and bumbling front office. I was a Dolphins fan after the 1st half because I like deluding myself with the false hopes that anything would change on this sorry franchise.
10/05/2009 1:47PM
How about the Buddy Nix Bandwagon!
He is known as one of the best talent evaluators in the league!
10/05/2009 1:52PM
He's Baack!
Vince Ferragamo.
10/05/2009 1:56PM
thanks
Just wanted to say thanks to Ralph Wilson for giving me back my Sunday afternoons back. I cannot stomach the garbage he's feeding us every Sunday. I've been a loyal fan for 30 years and the past 10 years have been the worst. What makes their current state of events worse is that everyone can see the problems but the organization does little to remedy them. Oh well, its just a game....right?
10/05/2009 2:00PM
Bills and Sabres mirror image of the city they play for!
The Buffalo Bills and Sabres are a mirror image of the city they play in. I think this is what people are talking about when bashing Buffalo and the residents. The residents continue to elect the politicians who keep raising taxes and fail to try and make things better in Buffalo. The residents also continue to say how wonderful a place Buffalo is to live.....really? Then why is Erie County losing 2% of its population a year and has been doing so for 35 years! The sports fans are just the same. They are clueless. The BELIEVE that each and every new sports year their team will be really good and may go all the way. They are delusional. They continue to sell out the Bills and Sabres home games no matter. Why you may ask....because they are Buffalonians....they don't have a clue....and you know how I know they don't have a clue....BECAUSE THEY STILL LIVE IN BUFFALO AND WNY.
10/05/2009 2:27PM
bill cowher in Bflo
i'm at chefs for lunch now. know who else is here? bill cowher!
10/05/2009 2:59PM
Injury free!
Jauron appears to be pretty pleased with himself in the picture above. Maybe we should be happy for him, too.
10/05/2009 3:12PM
GIVING UP
I've been to every single BIll's game for 9 years. I'm 22 yrs old, and I GIVE UP. None of my friends renewed their seasons. I'm not this year. I refuse to go to another game til we have a new head coach. I already sold my Browns seats. It will be thefirst game I miss in 9 years and i'm looking forward to watching us continue to fall apart so DICK is fired quicker.
10/05/2009 3:38PM
NO-HUDDLE
I THOUGHT THE NO-HUDDLE IS FAST PACE SEEM WE ARE LETTING THEM GET SET UP ON DEFENSE, BRING JIM KELLY BACK HE KNEW HOW TO DO THE NO-HUDDLE REALLY FAST
10/05/2009 3:42PM
oh just wait till next week all you Bills Fans
This team will beat the Browns and all of you "BILLS FANS" will be back on the wagon--spending $150 on a ticket, $9 a beer, $6 hot dog. But guess what, they are going to get slaughtered @ New York Jets, @ Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, @ Tennessee Titans, @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Miami Dolphins
You know what, they will beat the Jets in Toronto, b/c lets face it, this team will be in Toronto within 5 years! So, stop going to the games and supporting this crap! If the seats are filled with mediocrity on the field, why pay good players when the seats will be filled with dummies?
10/05/2009 3:50PM
re: bill cowher in Bflo
He loves the lasagna.
10/05/2009 3:54PM
Re: oh just wait.....
I totally agree. The Bills will probably be 4-12 on the season but might win against Cleveland. If they win against Cleveland, the Bills fans will say "oh hey, maybe Edwards isn't that bad" or "hey, maybe the Bills can still make the playoffs". Bills fans are from Buffalo, NY.......so you know they are uneducated and enjoy bad weather and paying high taxes for absolutly nothing. Heck, they can't even afford the toilet paper for their County buildings. Broke team, broke city, broke fans!
10/05/2009 4:20PM
bill cowher please
my god man please!!!
10/05/2009 5:08PM
THINGS BILLS AND SABRES HAVE IN COMMON
#1. They both play in a dump of a city called Buffalo, NY. #2. They both will be leaving Buffalo in the next decade. #3. Their fan base is uneducated, out of work, and drunk most of the time. #4. Both have owners who could care less about winning and only care about selling tickets. #5. Have fans who will buy tickets and support their teams no matter how bad they are because there is absolutly nothing else to do in WNY. #6. Both have sayings to descripe how close they were to winning a championship (WIDE RIGHT & NO GOAL).
10/05/2009 5:47PM
Bill Cowher will never come to Buffalo
No experienced good coach out there would ever even consider coming to Buffalo. If they came to Buffalo, it would be the end of their career. Buffalo Bills coaching is a career ender because yuo are garanteed to lose and lose badly. It is know all acrossthe NFL that Ralph Wilson has a commitment to losing. Ever woner why no big name coach has ever come to Buffalo....and we are talking about a 50 year history!
10/05/2009 5:59PM
Weekend At Ralph's
Whenever I see Ralph Wilson in his suite at the game,I always think of Bernie from Weekend At Bernie's.
10/05/2009 8:15PM
Bernie Madoff
I like Ralph Wilson. I admire his honesty and integrity.
10/05/2009 10:27PM

I live and die for this team please help coach gruden.
10/06/2009 1:18AM
Prepare for CLEVELAND'S first Win!
Yes! that's right - This sunday will be Clevelands 1st win in Buffalo. They beat us Monday Night Football - the yare more hungry for a win Sunday. BUFFALO WILL FALL 1-4 , and Trent will have 3 or 4 interceptions like tha Monday Night Game.
10/06/2009 7:33PM
job opening: head coach
MR. WILSON,
YOU HIRED T.O. TO HELP BRING THIS TEAM BACK TO ITS WINNING WAYS NOW YOU NEED TO GO OUT AND GIVE BILL COWHER WHATEVER HE IS ASKING TO BRING HIM IN HERE.COACHES ARE NOT PART OF OUR SALARY CAP!!!!!!!!!!!
10/08/2009 3:07AM
If we had TOM BRADY, We'd Still Lose.
Not to sound pessimistic people, but it doesnt matter we will never win a superbowl or stanely Cup - Buffalo to Cleveland is like the Bramuta Triangle of Losing, disappearing sports teams. If you want to celebrate with a winning team - go join a city winning. I'm loving the Lakers winning!
