Bills Sign Linebacker Draft and Defensive Back Johnson



WGR News Reporting
The Bills worked out several linebackers and signed one.  Chris Draft, who played with the St. Louis Rams the last 2 years, has joined the team.  A 10 year veteran of the league, Draft has appeared in 142 games, making 88 starts.

The Bills also signed DB Todd Johnson.  Johnson also comes over from the Rams, having spent the last two seasons in St. Louis.  A 7 year veteran, with 22 career starts as, Johnson has spent time at both safety and as a special teamer for most of his career.

I now live in the Lou...Chris Draft is a great community guy, good tackler and a leader. He was cut because he would not take a pay cut...the Bills did good here (assuming he is in shape).

I agree. What about Derrick Brooks? Oh yeah, I know now. He would cost too much money. A veteran, future hall of famer who could take all these young LB's under his wing is VERY overrated. WTF? This season....and team is lost. We needed to see that the Bills signed Draft AND Brooks.... not just Draft. Way to go Bills. We suck. We are Buffalo... the Detroit of 2009-2010.

This team is done for the season and why is Jauron still around. I just wish Ralph would sell the team to an owner that is willing to win at all costs. Buffalo fans deserve much better than what Ralph, Russ, and Dick are giving us.

Joke of the NFL
The Bills are the joke of the NFL. In the next few weeks the Redskins will sign Jon Gruden or Mike Hollgram as there new head coach. The Bills they'll be 1 and 7 and Ralph Wilson still will have no comment on Dick Jauron this will go on for weeks after the season. Then in mid March they'll sign another nit wit head coach..why when the day comes and it will when this team is sold no one will care will all be sick of this crap..what a joke the Buffalo Bills have become!!

Derrick Brooks
For the people who think the Bills just didn't even consider Derrick Brooks, I think you should put yourselves in Derrick Brooks' shoes. Why would he want to come here? He is a future hall of famer who would most likely want to choose where he wants toplay next. If the choice for him is Buffalo or not play, I am sure he is picking not playing with the current state of the Bills. Just because there are better players out there doesn't mean they will come here if they are offered money.
