Bills' interim coach Perry Fewell praised quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick for his play in Sunday's 18-15 loss to Jacksonville, but was not ready to name a starter for their upcoming game against Miami in Orchard Park.
"I thought Ryan did some really good things in the football game Sunday. We are going to evaluate, every day, who is going to be our quarterback. We're going to evaluate every week who gives us the best opportunity to be our quarterback and, when we decide, we will announce it."
The Bills might have to bring in some offensive linemen. Eric Wood is out for the year following successful surgery on Monday. Wood broke his leg in the loss to Jacksonville. Seth McKinney is also out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
Marshawn Lynch left Sunday's game but felt better on Monday. Coach Fewell will re-evaluate his status on Wednesday.
Coach Fewell was asked if he considers himself a candidate to be the permanent coach of the Bills. He wasn't ready to consider that option.
"This is a great opportunity for me. I'm a candidate, I think, if I choose to be a candidate for this job but my focus right now is the Miami Dolphins. That's what my focus is going to be this week. And, next week, it'll be the New York Jets."
Running back Fred Jackson was asked about the possibility of the Bills bringing in a high profile coach like Mike Shanahan to run the team. He wasn't against the idea, but knows that it isn't the time to think about it.
"It's not up to the players, but whatever they decide to do I'm going to be behind it 100%. I'm willing to play for whoever it is they decide to bring in. If it is a high profile guy, we'll see what he brings in and what he can do for us."
I'd say go for it. He might jump start the offense a bit more, but also he might stink it up. either way the defense is horrible so there's nothing to lose by going for it. Might actually be entertaining from a fan's standpoint!!!

I am up for new guy to start. Otherwise have a coin toss. Does it make a difference Ryan or Trent? .. Ryan all the way though, horrible clock management. Bills players need to play a little more Madden 2010.
