(WGR 550) -- Terrence McGee was officially placed on the injured reserve list Tuesday afternoon while ESPN.com's Tim Graham is reporting that Trent Edwards will be the next Bill headed to the injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury in Sunday's home loss to the Patriots. QB Gibran Hamdan was signed tot he 53-man roster to take his place.
McGee was hurt in a collision with Pats wide-out Randy Moss and did not return to the game after spending several minutes on the turf. A Bills mainstay, the corner has dealt with a number of injuries this season, still registering 48 tackles and an interception in 11 games. For his career, the 29-year-old has posted 466 tackles, 17 interceptions in three sacks. Sunday's game was his 100th in the league, all with Buffalo.
Edwards was hurt on a sack eerily similar to the Week Six one that sidelined him for weeks with a concussion. Edwards has been riddled with various injuries throughout his career, and his numbers dwindled in 2008. He'll finish the year with 1,167 yards passing, six touchdowns, seven interceptions and 22 sacks in parts of eight games. For his career, he's thrown one more interception (25) than touchdown (24).
The Bills are off until Wednesday's media day, where we'll learn the odds of Ryan Fitzpatrick starting at quarterback in Atlanta. The only other active quarterback on the roster in second-year man Brian Brohm, and it is unknown whether the Bills will ink another signal caller, or go with Roscoe Parrish or Josh Reed as an emergency quarterback. They could audition new players, or just re-ink cut third-stringer Gibran Hamdan, as he knows the system.
Please just play Brohm. Is there really anything to lose? At least it would be something to watch.

Edwards will be a quality back up QB somewhere in this league. He is def. not a starter... but if given a quality o line and coaching, he will stay in the NFL. Anyone see Losman's one snap at Denver on sunday... hahahahahaahahahhah

Stick up for that loser because you are one in real life. I'm a Bills fan who is sick of watching them lose. You are that caller from the morning show the other day aren't you. Glad Howard blew up on you cuz you are nothing but an excuse machine for mediocrity. Your man crush on Edwards has to end now bub!
