Sabre forward Paul Gaustad will miss at least one week of hockey with a shoulder injury. Gaustad suffered the injury while fighting Mike Rupp during Tuesday night's loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Sabres will not have the checking center for Wednesday's game against the Capitals. Gaustad is also one of the teams best face-off men. The other scratches for the Caps game have not yet been announced.

Don't worry we will be making so many deals that we will be able to replace his toughness...oh wait I forgot. I guess i just figured since every other team around us in the standings got better. Darcy has clearly given the big money to the wrong guys, Pominville? that guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with no goalie. Any player who wins the lady bing trophy should get traded off the team just on premise alone!

Gaustad gone for a week... at best, I'll bet. On the other hand, Golisano, Quinn, and what's-his-name have been missing for yet more years. ... Even though, they just traded for "their own leading scorer." But does he block shots and skate? Now they're running sparse on defense. ... This organization is hockey's answer to the Simpsons.
