Bush Approves Russert Highway President George Bush has signed a bill allowing for a stretch of Route 20A to be named after the late Tim Russert. A section of the highway in Orchard Park will now be called "Timothy J. Russert Highway".
The 'Meet the Press' host passed away on June 13th after suffering a heart attack. Russert was an avid Bills fan who often used his national exposure to promote his team.
Dolphins Trade Jason Taylor to Washington The Miami Dolphins traded Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor to the Washington Redskins Sunday, in exchange for a 2009 second round pick and a 2010 sixth round pick.
The Dolphins have been anxious to trade Taylor, who asked to be moved to a playoff contender at the beginning of the offseason. Before the draft, the Dolphins were asking for a first-round draft pick. They lowered the demand later to a second-rounder.
Bills Sign Steve Johnson The Buffalo Bills have announced the signing of 7th round draft pick Steve Johnson. The receiver out of Kentucky came to terms this afternoon, becoming the 5th of Buffalo's 10 draft picks to sign. Terms of the deal were not given.
Johnson caught 13 touchdowns for the Wildcats last season, falling one shy of the school record.
Lynch pleads guilty Marshawn Lynch made his first public appearance in two weeks today inside Buffalo city traffic court. The Bills running back admitted to being the driver of the Porsche Cayenne that hit a Canadian woman during the early hours of May 31st.
Goodell meets Simon (WGR 550) -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell took some time away from a trip home to meet up with Howard Simon and Jeremy White during their show from the Chautauqua Institution.

Lynch's Attorney to Meet with Investigators Monday WGRZ is reporting Lynch’s attorney, Michael Caffery, came to the courthouse this weekend to speak with the lead prosecutor and two investigators about a hit-and–run that occurred with Lynch’s SUV last weekend.
Caffery apologized for not getting in touch sooner, and then scheduled to meet with investigators Monday without his client, Marshawn Lynch.
