Cardinals looking to trade Leinart, Bills not interested

ESPN's NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that former first round draft pick Matt Leinart could be traded because he is not happy that he will not be starting for the Arizona Cardinals.  Schefter also reports that there are three teams that have had discussions with the Cardinals to land Leinart including the Bills.  However, the Buffalo Bills have already shot down Schefter's report through their website.

Four Bills back to work

We knew Marshawn Lynch would be at practice today for the Bills, but Fred Jackson joined him, without a cast! He did have a glove on and a protective brace over it.

Lynch could be ready for Thursday. Bill cut 3

The Bills had a walk-through today and then did conditioning sprints afterwards. Marshawn Lynch, who injured his ankle in the first preseason game against  Washington hadn't practiced until today. He said, "Yes, it felt pretty good to run on it."

Parrish is glad the Bills didn't get rid of him

Roscoe Parrish told me numerous times last season that it's not that he wanted to leave Buffalo, he just wanted to play whether it was here or some place else. Dick Jauron was so down on Parrish he took his punt return duties away after Parrish led the NFL the season before. He was also inactive for four games.

Owens sees a new and improved Bills offense

Terrell Owens came back to Buffalo and had three catches for 35 yards including a 16 yarder beating Leodis McKelvin rather badly. The Bills CB made up for it the very next play keeping tight coverage on Owens on a streak down the sideline and then knocking the ball down.

I had a chance along with the local writer from the Associated Press to speak with the former Bills WR.

According to a report at NationalFootballPost.com, Bills rookie WR Marcus Easley may have been able to return to the team during the first month of the regular season had he not been placed on the injured reserve list. Click on the headline to read the full report!

Bills players aren't really up for 18 regular games

Many NFL owners want to drop two preseason games and add two regular season games to make it an 18 game season. Players always complain about the long training camps and long preseason so I assumed they'd be all for this plan. Boy was I wrong!

Bills-Bengals Blacked out

Bills break camp with the head coach livid

Chan Gailey was all fired up by the end of the final St.John-Fisher training camp practice. There was a group of teenagers who attended many practices and frequently screamed nasty, vulgar and negative things at the players. Many comments were aimed at Trent Edwards. Gailey went over and told those fans that when they rip one player, they rip all of them.

Bills have interesting options on offense

Chan Gailey runs many different formations in his offense, but will be go with the "Wildcat" trend started by Miami. Last season the Bills used it with Fred Jackson who even threw a touchdown pass to Lee Evans. Gailey said, "Wildcat is an interesting proposition. I don't know how long that thing will last if you don't throw out of it. You have to be able to throw out of that."

Bills Sign TE Foschi

The Bills have brought in TE J.P. Foschi for depth at the position. The 28-year old Foschi last played for the Bengals. The Bills waived DB John Destin to make room on the roster.
