Jimmy Kennedy played with former Bill Pat Williams in Minnesota last season. Kennedy said in ever city he's played in, they've asked him to learn every position on the defensive line. He has played in both a 4-3 and 3-4 scheme with St.Louis, Jacksonville, Chicago and the Vikings.
NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reported via his Twitter page on Wednesday evening that the Bills will bring free agent DT Jimmy Kennedy into town for a visit later this week. That visit is going on Friday at One Bills Drive, and Kennedy will address the local media at 12:15 p.m.
Kennedy started only one game last season in Minnesota but played in 13, recording three sacks and 18 tackles. Kennedy was the 12th overall selection in the 2003 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams.
The Bills have re-signed tight end Joe Klopfenstein, who appeared in one game for Buffalo last season. He made one catch in the season finale against the Colts. Klopfenstein was signed twice by the Bills last season.
The 26-year old has made 38 starts in his career. Shawn Nelson is the only other tight end under contract on the Bills roster.
The Cincinnati Bengals have signed free agent wide receiver Antonio Bryant to a 4-year, $28 million dollar contract. Bryant visited the Bengals earlier in the week and had also drawn interest from the Miami Dolphins.
Bryant's signing comes on the heels of Terrell Owens' visit with the Bengals.
Gibran Hamdan is leaving the NFL for the CFL. The former Bills quarterback has signed with the Toronto Argonauts through 2011. Hamdan was released by the Bills during this past season to make room for Brian Brohm. He did not play in the regular season for Buffalo.
NFL Network is reporting that the Bills have signed OL Cornell Green to a 3-year contract worth $9 million. Green paid a visit to Orchard Park on Monday afternoon and, apparently, liked the fit.
Green is a 10-year NFL veteran who spent the past 3 years in Oakland, starting in all 38 games in which he appeared. He can play both left and right tackle.
According to foxsports.com's Adam Caplan, the Bills have picked up a $500,000 roster bonus on DE Chris Kelsay, ensuring his return to the team next season.
Kelsay is set to make $3.7 million in base salary this season and is expected to switch to linebacker in head coach Chan Gailey's 3-4 defense. He had 62 tackles, five sacks and a forced fumble for the Bills during the 2009-2010
The Chicago Bears have won the Julius Peppers sweepstakes, signing the free agent defensive end to a six-year deal.. Peppers is taking a physical in Chicago and will earn $12-14 million a year for six years, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

(WGR 550) -- Safety Bryan Scott will be with the Buffalo Bills for another couple years after signing a two-year deal to kick off free agency in the National Football League, according to the Associated Press' John Wawrow.
The New York Jets will release running back Thomas Jones this week. Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum informed Jones that he'll hit the open market when free agency begins on Friday.
Jones is 31-years old and set career highs with 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Jets top-ranked rushing attack this season. Jones had 319 yards and a touchdown in two games against the Bills this season.
A potential trade rumor has surfaced involving the Bills and the Washington Redskins. The Washington Post's Jason Reid says the word around Indianapolis is that the Bills could acquire quarterback Jason Campbell from the Redskins for safety Donte Whitner and a draft pick.
