The Bills have officially named 3 assistant coaches for Chan Gailey's staff; special teams coach Bruce DeHaven, quarterbacks coach George Cortez and receivers coach Stan Hixon. The team also announced that Adrian White has been retained as the defensive quality control coach.

A report out of the Canadian Press indicates that the Bills may be turning to the Canadian Football League for coaching help. Calgary Stampeders offensive coordinator, George Cortez, is reported to be joining Chan Gailey's staff in Buffalo as a quarterbacks coach.
Cortez has spent 19 total years in the CFL and was Jeff Garcia's offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in Calgary. He also had a stiant at the University of California where he worked under Jeff Tedford, but returned to Calgary in 2007.
