Bills' McGee, Jones Put on IR; Sign Two WRs
The Buffalo Bills have been hit by the injury bug and in a big way.
The team placed two more players on season-ending Injured Reserve on Tuesday. Cornerback Terrence McGee (knee) and wide receiver Donald Jones (ankle) both had their seasons cut short after being carted off the field Sunday.
For Jones, it's the second injury to his left ankle this season that will cause him to miss an extended amount of time. When healthy, he has served as the team's starting wide receiver opposite Stevie Johnson.
With the two roster spots, Buffalo has added wide receiver Derek Hagan via free agency. They've also elected to promote wide receiver Kamar Aiken off their practice squad and on to the 53-man roster.
The Bills also added two players to their practice squad. Cornerback Prince Miller and offensive lineman Keith Williams have been added to that group. It's Williams' second stint with Buffalo's practice squad. The room for both Miller and Williams was made with the promotion of Aiken and lineman Thomas Welch signing with the St. Louis active roster.
