Bills' Players Take to Twitter with 4-3 Excitement

A switch back to a 4-3 base, in many people's minds, was a logical one for the Buffalo Bills. Since undertaking the 3-4 scheme, the team has failed to add the necessary pieces to make that transition possible and had a lot of players playing out of position.

Now with two years of failed results, defensive personnel that favors the 4-3 and a defensive coordinator -- Dave Wannstedt -- that is best suited with that type of scheme, the Bills are back to a four-man front. And a pair of Bills are certainly excited about the news.

Kelvin Sheppard, the man pegged to be the middle linebacker in the new scheme by head coach Chan Gailey, was the first to react on Twitter.

"4-3!!!! let's get it I'm gettin excited jus thinkin bout next year Can't wait!!"

Next up is defensive lineman Torell Troup, who took a full 24 hours to really have the news sink in to what it may mean for his career. These are a series of tweets mashed together in one collective thought.

"Been thinking about this 4-3 all day today. Man this is goin to be great. Attack and get in the back field and mess up the play. 4-3 best nose tackles are the ones with the first quick step. Who can beat the other guy off the line. I played 4-3 in college. I was so disruptive at nose that i spent my whole senior year taking on doubles even in a 4-3. 4-3 is all about... Gettin into back field and making plays where as 3-4 u have to be controlled and cancel gaps. Our dline will be one of the best in league. We will be gettin off the ball and making big plays all around. This is so exciting"

Troup also added that he saw his doctor in Buffalo on Monday morning. His back is healing well and the doctor says he's very happy with the progress. Troup had a procedure done on his back after being placed on the injured reserve list this season.
