Report: Progress Made in Stevie Talks
by Joe Buscaglia
posted Feb 24 2012 9:39AM
With today being quite an important day for Stevie Johnson and his future with the Buffalo Bills, some progress has been made.
According to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News, Johnson's agent C.J. Laboy said that his meeting with the Bills went well.
"We had a very productive meeting," said Laboy. "I'm very optimistic. I'm looking forward to continue talking."
Laboy said in January that he is always optimistic that a deal can be reached, even when the two sides weren't talking.
Johnson is set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 13 if no deal is in place. The Bills have until March 5 to assign the franchise tag on their leading wide receiver.
