NFL Mock Draft: Day Two

The 2014 NFL Draft has one night already completed and now the NFL world awaits for the time in the draft where good teams are made. It's always important to hit on your first round picks, but it's the players that supplement your roster from the second round and beyond that can really bring the team to another level.

The Buffalo Bills moved up from their original first round pick to secure Clemson wide receiver Sammy Watkins in the first round. What might they be targeting in the second round? Here is a look how it could play out.

Keep in mind, mock drafts should always be considered to be for entertainment purposes only. With that written, on to the mock!

Round 2

33)  - NT Louis Nix III, Notre Dame

34)  - CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste, Nebraska

35)  - WR Marqise Lee, USC

36)  - QB Derek Carr, Fresno State

37)  - DE/OLB Demarcus Lawrence, Boise State

38)  - DT Ra'Shede Hageman, Minnesota

39)  - WR Cody Latimer, Indiana

40)  (from MIN) - G Xavier Su'a-Filo

41)  - OT Joel Bitonio, Nevada
- With many teams ahead of them getting fixated on the wide receivers and defensive linemen that dropped out of the first round, the Bills are able to land Bitonio and plug him in at right tackle almost immediately. If he cannot play that, at worst, they have a player they can develop into a guard. However, what he showed at Nevada and his measurables made the Bills believe that he can be a tackle in the NFL, so that's where he'll start. Offensive tackle is the position taken due to the fact that 2014 is a "win now" year, so they need both of their first two picks to impact the starting lineup. Morgan Moses was also a consideration, but the nastiness of Bitonio is what wins out.

42)  - DE/OLB Jeremiah Attaochu, Georgia Tech

43)  - DE Kony Ealy, Missouri

44)  - S Terrance Brooks, Florida State

45)  - CB Bashaud Breeland, Clemson

46)  - WR Davante Adams, Fresno State

47)  - DT Timmy Jernigan, Florida State

48)  - OT Morgan Moses, Virginia

49)  - TE Jace Amaro, Texas Tech

50)  - TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Washington

51)  - DT Stephon Tuitt, Notre Dame

52)  - WR Bruce Ellington, South Carolina

53)  - TE Troy Niklas, Notre Dame

54)  - CB Phillip Gaines, Rice

55)  - HB Carlos Hyde, Ohio State

56)  (from KC) - WR Donte Moncrief, Ole Miss

57)  - LB Kyle Van Noy, BYU

58)  - HB Dri Archer, Kent State

59)  - C/G Marcus Martin, USC

60)  - OT Cyrus Kouandjio, Alabama

61)  -  CB Keith McGill, Utah

62)  - QB Tom Savage, Pittsburgh

63)  - ILB Chris Borland, Wisconsin

64)  - DE Scott Crichton, Oregon State

Round 3

65)  - QB A.J. McCarron, Alabama

66)  - OT Antonio Richardson, Tennessee

67)  - WR Jordan Matthews, Vanderbilt

68)  - HB Bishop Sankey, Washington

69)  - QB Jimmy Garoppolo, Eastern Illinois

70)  - HB Jeremy Hill, LSU

71)  - OT Jack Mewhort, Ohio State

72)  - CB Pierre Desir, Lindenwood

73)  - DE Kareem Martin, North Carolina
- The Bills will look to address one of three spots after both wide receiver and offensive tackle are used on the first two selections. It could be either defensive end, cornerback or tight end. There are some intriguing developmental tight ends that will be available later on, so that leads round three to the defensive side of the ball. Between the two, the most intriguing name left on the board is North Carolina's Kareem Martin. At 6-foot-6 and 272-pounds, he is a fit in Jim Schwartz's 4-3 defense as an end. He isn't an explosive athlete, but he can be a complementary third defensive end in their rotation, which is what they're looking for.
