When it comes to sports talk in the morning, there is only once source in Buffalo...The Howard Simon Show!

Howard Simon graduated from Buffalo State in 1984 and has been covering the Buffalo sports scene since 1989, working at WJJL, WBEN and the Empire Sports Network before joining WGR in 2004. Howard's also a huge fan of the New York Mets and for some reason, refuses to give up his team.

Jeremy White graduated from Syracuse University in 2001 and worked during every possible time period on WGR before joining the Howard Simon Show in November of 2004. Shockingly, Jeremy likes to squeeze in talk about his Orange whenever possible during Bills' and Sabres' conversations.

There is no other radio station in Western New York that offers you the chance to sound off on your team and connect with the following guests:

Weekly Guest Schedule:
Monday: Jerry Sullivan - 7 AM
Tuesday: Lindy Ruff - 8 AM
Wednesday: Mike Robitaille - 8-9 AM
Thursday: Patrick Kaleta - 8 AM
Friday: Adam Benigni - 8:50 AM

Plus, Mike Robitaille will give his take on Buffalo Sabres' games at 830 (if they played the night before) and WGR reporter Paul Hamilton will give his take on the Buffalo sports scene every weekday as well.

HPW - Lindholm

HPW - Elias Lindholm

Possibilities are endless in June 30th's NHL Draft.  The depth of the first round is one of the reasons to think a team near the top might be willing to trade down.  Elias Lindholm, a Swedish center, could be taken soon after the Big Three.  He's next up in  Jeremy White’s Hockey Prospect Watch.

NHL Draft - Sabres gunning for top pick

The Buffalo Sabres haven’t been too guarded about the upcoming NHL Draft.  Armed with a pair of 1sts, a pair of 2nds, and a need to make big changes, the franchise is openly talking about moving up.  Wednesday morning we learned that they'd like to move all the way up.

Bills Kolb not thinking about EJ Manuel

As the Bills put the wraps this week, on a series of pre-training camp workouts, Kevin Kolb knows he has one less quarterback to beat out for the starting job. Click here to see what Kolb thinks about the battle with EJ Manuel.

HPW - Darnell Nurse

Seth Jones sits atop the NHL Central Scouting Rankings, but he’s not the only top flight defenseman available in this year’s draft.  Darnell Nurse looks to bring a huge frame, and a well known bloodline to the NHL.  Jeremy White moves the Hockey Prospect Watch back to the blueline.

High Hopes - Just how feasible is a move in the draft?

The Sabres are openly pursuing a trade up in June 30th’s NHL Entry Draft.  Jeremy White’s obsession...err...continuing quest, surges forward with a one-stop-shop of reasons that the Sabres should be able to get it done.

Bills Da'Rick Rogers has a chip on his shoulder

Despite getting thrown off the football team at the University of Tennessee and admitting to failing three drug tests, Da'Rick Rogers still thought an NFL team would draft him.  But the wide receiver never got the call that 254 other players did over three days.

Bills 2013: Over or Under 6.5 wins?

As the saying goes, no one sells hope like the Buffalo Bills.  It appears the hope tank is pretty full, once again, for many Bills fans thanks to the various organizational changes and the drafting of a quarterback in the first round.

Bills Gilmore learned a lot from first season

Even though he has just one NFL season under his belt, Stephon Gilmore is clearly the player the Bills will rely on to be their shutdown cornerback.
Since Terry Pegula asked, what has Darcy done wrong?
  missed playoffs last two years
  too loyal to his players
