Before Pat Kaleta got checked out, Ted Nolan thought he might be without his tough winger until after the holidays. Johan Larsson is also going to miss some time. Kaleta, who missed most of last season with a knee injury, is actually not going to miss that much time.

Sabres defenseman Andre Benoit started his professional career in 2005 with the Hamilton Bulldogs. He never got to the NHL until the 2010 season with Ottawa.

Leafs come back to beat Sabres 3-2 in shootout


The Buffalo Sabres opened up a 2-0 lead, but the Toronto Maple Leafs came back to tie the game, and eventually win 3-2 in the shootout on Sunday night at Air Canada Centre.
