(WGR 550) -- With the hiring of head coach Doug Marrone by the Buffalo Bills in 2013, he brought along a good amount of assistants with him from his last stop in Syracuse. It appears as though Marrone is reuniting with a former coach of the Orange in Buffalo once again.
The Bills announced on Thursday that they have hired Rob Moore as the coach of their wide receivers group. Moore has spent the past four seasons in the same role with the Syracuse Orange, the first three of those serving under Marrone.
Like Marrone, Moore is a graduate of Syracuse and enjoyed a career in the National Football League. The former wide receiver was a first round pick by the New York Jets in the 1990 Supplemental Draft and stayed with them for five seasons. He spent the final seven years of his career playing for the Arizona Cardinals.
In total, Moore racked up 628 receptions for 9,368 yards and 49 touchdowns over his 12-year career. He earned two trips to the Pro Bowl, in 1994 and 1997 respectively.
This will be Moore's first job in the NFL as a coach. Meanwhile, the Bills now have all of their major positional coaches named and in tact for the start of the 2014 season. Moore replaces Ike Hilliard, who was let go one day after the season concluded in December.
Bills go back to Syracuse well, name Moore WRs coach

Another good hire by Marrone & OBD.Always liked him as a player & think he'll do well as WR's coach.
WHERE'S Bruce DEHAVEN???
why so long?
I have respect for Rob Moore, but if he is a good hire, why was he not hired a while ago? it looks like they could not find someone else.
I love it...
There were two positional assistant coaches I wanted Marrone to bring with him to Buffalo, from Syracuse.
Tyrone Wheatley and Rob Moore.
Now we have them both, which is excellent...Two pretty darn good professionals, coaching our young guys...I love it.
love your NOCO commercial, not
Good hire but why hasnt the special teams coach been fired ? I guess friendship outweighs "turning the franchise around"
Another soild move bills.
congrats to you rob moore. Now we got a coach who are going to focus on the players on holding on to the ball. And how to go up and bring down a ball on hard hitting corners. He reminds me of eric moulds. I don't care what anybody sayes. Coach marrone you did one hell of a job of getting your staff together. This is going to be great to watch. thankyou coach. now we can start to focus on this year draft.
What about a new special teams coach? The guy we have SUCKS!! Can.t Marrone see that? They really want anothwer year like last year?
Where is Bruce De Haven? Bobby April?
I am not thrilled with Danny Crossman either. To everybody yearning for April or DeHaven, they both have a gig. Google.... Bruce DeHaven is in Carolina. Bobby April is in Oakland. I was surprised to learn the Raiders (31) finished below the Bills (30) inspecial teams rank. FREAKY...
It was long because
Rob Moore had turned down the job offer last year from Morrone, but this year they offered this same job to him and he finally accepted the position.
I know this might be reaching but.
Don't we have some body in our own back yard if crossman can't get the job done. And soon he will too be in the hof. Thats right mr steve tasker. I mean he was a specail team ace. And mr tasker please stop putting yourself down. When i watch you play you did some amazing things in your career. You always was leading the charge down feild. And you can bet he always got his man. And don't forget this man also play wideout for the bills. And he keep on saying he dosen't deserve to be their; hush mr tasker because if we the fans got anything to say about it you be right there with the rest of the boys.
Expecting another losing season. Marrone is a Joke.
