Free agent ILB McClain visits Bills

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- Less than a week before the new fiscal year starts in the National Football League, the Buffalo Bills hosted their first free agent visit.

Recently released by the Baltimore Ravens, inside linebacker Jameel McClain made his first official visit and flew up to western New York to meet with head coach Doug Marrone and the rest of his defensive staff. McClain will next be on his way to the New York Giants for an official visit.

He's a six-year veteran out of Syracuse University, spending his entire career with the Ravens and making 55 starts along the way.

Because McClain was released from his contract by Baltimore, he is allowed to sign with another team ahead of March 11, which marks the start of free agency in the NFL.

Are you planning to see Connor McDavid when he plays at FNC this season?
Absolutely. Its a chance to see a generational player in person
Yes and I'm going to see some games in Erie too
No. The Sabres probably won't get him so I don't need to see him
